Park City July, 2020
This summer, our family took an extended vacation to Park City, UT (thanks to Covid-19!). Park City is a place that my husband and I both hold dear to our hearts. He lived there when we started dating and we have been back to visit many times since. This year was the first visit with our family.
It was so nice to escape our normal routine back home and to get to enjoy the great outdoors! We spent much of our time hiking, biking, and enjoying the beautiful scenery Park City had to offer. One of our favorite days was spent at Park City Mountain where we rode the alpine slides and mountain coaster!
Another notable outing was visiting Bridal Veil Falls, which is a spectacular waterfall shortly outside of Park City. These pictures do it no justice AT ALL. This waterfall is enormous and absolutely breathtaking. My older two kids and husband had fun climbing up the rocks toward the waterfall.
And lastly, you can’t visit Park City without making a visit (or two!) to Sundance Resort. My husband and I have so many wonderful memories here, both in the summer and winter months. We spent 2 afternoons there. The first was a cloudy day with weather forecasted to come in, although it never did. It made for some great photo ops! The second was spent soaring through the sky on their world-class zip line course…
A major PLUS this vacation was having our close close friends vacationing in Park City at the same time! They joined us at Sundance…
Our SASSY girls, Gracie and Knightley! 2 Peas in a Pod!!
Gracie Girl!
Sweet Meredith!
Reid zipping through the sky!
Then Knightley…
And last but not least, Jason!
Our kid zipling crew (Gracie, Knightley, Peter and Reid)!
And just a couple more trip favs that must be included…
My handsome boys (minus Reid)!
And of course, we can’t forget about Roscoe! He was such a trooper on this trip. He had to sit in a crowded back seat for a 16 hour drive to make it to our fabulous destination!
Covid-19
Who would have ever thought we’d be where we are right now? During these unprecedented, uneasy, and unclear times, we need to look for the good, the light, and the silver linings. During this time, I’m so thankful for my faith, my family, and my health. Here is a glimpse of what makes me smile these days…
I have to say, if you’re a dog, Covid-19 is probably the best time that’s ever existed. Our fairly new pup, Roscoe, really has been a God-send recently. He gets us out of the house daily for 1-2 hr walks, and provides endless hours of entertainment for our kids. He provides some pretty great photo opps as well!
We look forward to finishing the school day so we can get outside to play.
Man, my daughter is me…
Who wouldn’t rather get upside down than have a ball fly at your face (oh, how I miss Power Life Yoga!)?! I love you, Knightley!
The biggest treat at the end of the day is getting out on the lake. Never would we be able to do this during the traditional school year. I am very grateful for this. The water is still COLD, but our kids don’t seem to mind much…
REALLY COLD!!!
My wish for you is to stay safe, stay warm, and until we meet (in person) again…
XOXO,
Kristin
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico 2019
Every year my husband’s parents generously take their entire family on vacation to Cabo San Lucas. My kids start the countdown for this trip months in advance. They live for the 2 weeks they get to spend with their cousins, who they adore! I LOVE candid photography, so I have the time of my life snapping away as the kids swim, play at the beach, etc.! Here are some of my favorites…
Here are a few photos from our visit into town…
And our annual family photos on the beach…
Until next year…
Cheers to cousins and Cabo!
XO,
Kristin
